thank you for this. I have always wondered how this was done!

(continued from below)... I just tried 1 w/a tiny briolette bead & 26g dead soft wire, but it keeps happening. SO frustrating! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know why, but I have the hardest time doing this. Your video made more sense than the others I've seen here (I could never do the ones where you wrap both sides around). When doing this 1, when I wrap going down, I have trouble with the wire slipping around (where the holes are) rather than staying wrapped @ the top of the bead. It seems to slide up & then side to side...(Continued)

it confused me.i didnt see how,but i shall see the earlier video on the briolette wrapping, lovely focal though
Hi kaijakitty, Sorry to hear you,re having trouble. My suggestions would be to make sure that the wire at the sides of the briolette in the first step is flush against the sides of the bead, you really want to bend it against the bead so it's quite stable. You might also like to use a larger bead and wire to practice because it might be a little easier to work with. If these suggestions don't work feel free to email me a photo is possible showing the issue at thepracticalbeader@yahoo.com.D

Hi, sorry for the confusion. I didn't repeat how to make a wrapped loop because I have a tutorial on my blog that shows this at denise-mathew.blogspot.com/2010/02/how-to-make-double-loop-bail-for-top.html. The difference with the rustic wrap is that you wrap back up the stone and trim near the loop. Hope this helps and please feel free to email me with any questions at thepracticalbeader@yahoo.com .Denise
