  • @koppsr Elizabeth McGovern is a very good actress (though not as pretty as Jane Seymour, I think her acting is better)

  • M was supposed to be a v humble character. This one Isnt one bit ladylike!

  • Why did they have to make Percy so hateful in this? He gives every impression of despising Margot, which, okay, she's supposed to think he does. But in the 1982 version, there was always a deep sadness in Anthony's eyes when Marguerite walked away. It pained him to hurt her. I don't see any love between these two. He acts like a total jerk, not someone who would bow and kiss the stair "where her dainty foot had trod."

  • @dancingnancy09 Well whoever's fault it is it's a demmed shame that this came out so awfully. Alone, it's a fine series of movies but as a representation of the Scarlet Pimpernel and his adventures, it's not even close to what it should be. They have names, places, and genders correct and that's about it. I have no qualms with the actors/actresses in general, in fact i like them otherwise, but they just don't fit the looks or personalities of the original characters.

  • @RoronoaEmi you should want to kill the the scrpitwriter and the director theyre ones responsible for what annoys you - the actress just does what script dictates and what the director tells her to- thats how it works

  • i really prefer mcgovern to seymour. when i saw the 1980s version all i could think of was how out-of-place seymour's modern face and crooked smile looked. anthony andrews was divine, though.

  • @RoronoaEmi she is a good actress :)

  • haha you can hear Chauvelin crunching on strawberry seeds. XD

UGH!!!! Marguerite is so obnoxious in this version!!! downright annoying!! running everywhere like a crazed idiot. makes me want to kill whoever cast her.

  • @sairebartontv i agree completely. the storyline was wonderful in the book. if they could get together a cast that resembled Orczy's characters more closely, along with the plot, it would make an incredible movie.

  • sorry if i get flamed for this, but the leading female actress is a bit old, though she IS a very good one.
