when you flat iron your hair you shouldnt touch it with your hands until its cool. you could be getting it even straighter. when you touch your hair before it cools you are roughing up the cuticle and shifting the straight shape. your hair when warm can still change shape.. you can use a brush however to help encourage it to go straighter. a tourmaline brush is the best choice..
