The food police want to use labels and menu laws to control how other people eat.

  • I like what you're doing, but i'm somewhat perplexed when I hear you criticize some people for being fat, then in other videos, and sometimes in the same video, you criticize someone else for being "naturally" skinny.

  • @Tempestoffrost In both cases, I'm criticizing busy-bodies who want to impose their preferred solutions on us, yet clearly don't have any expertise. When a lawyer blames lack of information for obesity, but is obese himself -- despite having access to all the information he wants -- his theory is obviously full of @#$%. When a naturally skinny woman tries to tell others how to lose weight, she's also full of @#$%. She's never had to lose weight and has no idea what it takes.

  • hey did you see the recent Penn & Teller's Bullshit episode on fast food? i think they got the idea based on your DOC, wasnt that informative, but had a similar theme.

  • @Musashi242 I don't think they've seen Fat Head, but I sent a copy to them after that episode.

  • wait are you arguing against fast food being labeled? i agree that that won't change habits, but all restaurants should have that. Much like how they should all list ingredients, but the latter really has more to do with allergies i suppose...

  • @GeatMaster Ignoring truth? No, I'm saying if a restaurant doesn't want to put calorie counts on its menus, then in a supposedly free country, that's fine. If you don't like it, you don't patronize the restaurant. This is nothing more than an attempt by government to shame people into eating less. It won't work. Go back two generations, when hardly anyone was obese, and there were NO calorie counts on anything. We don't government to take away freedom simply to enforce a failed theory.

  • Well, if they make the ingredients label bigger so that we can see those HFCS and sugar, that'll be better. But I guess they don't want to do that.

Plus, it's an age of scary fats anyways, who's 'scared' of sugar?

  • If these killjoy health freaks could ban laughter they would.

  • Guinness? Good man! Have been trying to get people to watch your videos, Science For Smart People was great. Will look to pick up your Wheat Is Murder shirt as well as a copy of Fathead in the near future. Keep up the good fight.

  • The Government is a big shit sandwich, & we all know, that's not healthy to eat. =/

  • @GeatMaster nah, there are things that are natural as in, they take the plant and literally shove it in a box / bag / carton.

A lot of the problem is that these plants might have completely "natural" products, but they also process these heavily processed things and so even their natural stuff has trace elements. What we really need to do is stop big food complexes from unfairly getting laws passed to run small farmers out of business. THAT is a major problem. But you and I are to blame.

  • @shakaama what would the point of that be? everything would say PROCESSED! and if you think that even one thing would say NATURAL then i'd suggest you read "The Oil We Eat" by Richard Manning.
