@marcthetaylor basically a "muffin hat" is an old world style barret, it has more of a fabric drape then a typical barret. can be seen in alot of movies of renassaince genres such as ever after with drew barrymore (don't think i spelled her name right). she plays cinderella and there are people from her bestfriend gusteau to the gypsies that wear this style hat.

I make crochet hats, I know very little German, but I do understand you a little. Keep up the good work. I understood how you increase the pattern. why you added the extra material and the mesh between the two types of material. Nice job!
