I really love how it says "Calling Roger Wilco" when it starts up. God Bless Sierra On-line, not Entertainment, On-Line

i was 12 , stuck with an adlib soundcard. And allways wondered what the space quests sounded like with the mt-32. TY for showing me exactly that! And now i'm glad i didn't know what i was missing at the time, it would have driven me crazy!

Nice composition

Lovely!
I would love it if you could record some (if the game supports it, that is) from the awesome game Tyrian 2000! Preferrably the first stage. Would that be possible?
Thanks in advance!

I used to own one of these, I can't remember how many papers I had to deliver to afford it. I had it when I was 14, and bought it myself. Was so proud of myself. All my friends and I would get together and just be amazed at the music quality out of the thing. Even today, the MT-32/LAPC-1/SCC-1/Etc line of Roland cards and modules are incredible sound quality.

and this didn't become a de-facto standard (such as GM or Adlib) because??? this is amazing... beats the crap out of even Today's over-used GM Patches

@peddersoldchap Yes, I would think that it works pretty much the same as connecting MT-32 to any SB.

@decod31 Can I use that cable to connect a Sound Canvas SC-55 to my AWE64? Sorry for my noobieness. Thanks for all the infos. Cheers.
how to connect a soundblaster card to a mt32?? do i need drivers? got a midi cable but in sound setup nothing happens on the mt32

@marquis0r It depends on your sb. Which sb do you have? Which game did you try? Are you using my cable? Not all the games support midi through the joystick port since it's not fully MPU-401 compatible, but I recall at least SQ4 works with SBPRO2 ISA when I tried without anything special. You need to configure the port 330 for the midi if it's not automatically done, some pnp perhaps if not ISA, this depends on your card.

Have you ever done Duke Nukem 3D?
PIKACHU49386 7 months ago
@PIKACHU49386 Nope, but maybe I'll do a video later. I think duke3d doesn't really have support for MT-32, but instead the music was made for sound canvas, but I have that too so let's see...
