Disagree with all your statements, see most videos from the tour and he was exceptional as much as it pains me to say it, plus the album was one of the best rock/electronica fusions ever in my mind.

TV > shitty VHS tape > digital vid > YouTube. This is a VERY WOUNDED BOOTLEG and should sound shitty.

Pop "tanked" in the US in 1997. It sold fine worldwide & is now understood to be very, very underrated.
