what do I do if my dog won't STAY sitting. I'm so frustrated with my yorkie. He sits for 5 seconds and then he pops right back up. I never reward him when he stands up before I can give him the treat.

my dog just tries jumping to bite it off, every time...

Oooh.
Well, I always call it bait since I'm in Juniors also.

NIce, it really helps.
With smaller dogs a little more patience is needed, like with a pug! But it works.

Just make sure you don't stop rewarding it too early. Very nice demonstration.

It's called bait.

Bait is usually what it is referred to during conformation, not necessarily obedience or agility training. In this case, you LURE the dog. In conformation, you would BAIT the dog.

so does the dog evintually sit without a treat?

Yes, of course. :) Somewhere in the video I did say that you should fade the treat/lure as soon as possible and jsut use voice commands, then treating and rewarding. Eventually, the dog will n longer need a treat reward for every time it sits.
