I really do like this knife.Just got one and now it will be my EDC.It is fun to open as well and AZ is Auto friendly.
-

-
Love mine have been beating on this knife through 2 depoloymetns and EDC use its been a great knife that works everytime
-
Nice review, I just got one with a black finish on it

As much as I LOVE the auto axis, and I really do like the way it can open / close from either side (either hand).. I wuld not get another one (unless I needed the auto for something)
For me it is more important to be able to close effortlessly and safely like I can with the regular AXIS
SO my 2¢.. save a few bucks and go AXIS

from what i understand, the black class is automatic knives designed for law enforcement and military use, the blue class is the "heart of benchmade" where the bulk of their knives reside, and the gold class uses the top materials available in the knife market.

I would suggest an Axis lock (benchmade) since they are easy and safe to open AND close one handed
