Many of these smaller sound stages are not equipped for artists to perform live, so they have no choice but to lip sync. Only Stevie Nicks got to boycott and threaten Solid Gold successfully so she could sing live but that performance sounded really bad due to cheap equipments, not Stevie's voice.

It's a shame there are no decent close up shots, (deliberate maybe) but for such an emotional, "acting" type song, it woulda been good to see more of her facial nuances

if you just look on the right..you will see MADONNA LIVE TAKE A BOW AMERICAN AWARDS.....So she sang this song live.... So if you dont think she ever sang this song live....come on!!! Are you still in pre-primary...lol

Obviously you can tell that this is not a live performance. Babyface does the origional background and this guy is NOT Babyface!! I guess they figured Germans wouldn't be able to tell! She doesn't sing this good live!
