  • the guy with the sword is such a huge dork. lol

  • Apples and oranges John, daggers have a number of advantages that bowies cannot possess. Don't get me wrong, I love both, but you have to factor in weight, conceal/carry-ability, and other factors. Daggers take a lot of finesse, but are incredibly deadly when used in that manner, you comparing them on a bowie 'arm chopping' standard. Love your bowies though man.

  • What boots does John wear? I wear a kilt and I am on the hunt for some good black boots that don't look like crap.

  • you should fill the tubes with meat

  • bowies can stab, daggers can stab, bowies can cut, daggers can stab, bowies can hack, daggers can stab, bowies can chop, daggers can stab, bowies can slash, daggers can stab. I don't know about you but I think the dagger is the obvious winner (not really it's the bowie :P)

neither are throwers both can be concealed and price is everywhere for both and btw I like both lol

  • @miguel555678 what is a dork? lol I've heard that word and people being called it alot but I thought it meant like computer geek or somthing?

  • Haha! Funny video, but still demonstrates what you guys mean

  • yeah i will love the tomahawk stuff ! :D

  • mister sord bad ass sucks

  • @wilowhisp You make a valid point, but remember that duels were generally fought using epees, which have VERY thin blades, even thinner than that dagger's. Incidently, the dagger shown is called a "maine gauche" and was intended primerilly to deflect your opponant's sword blade, not to get into a "knife fight" with. The Scottish dirk is more for actually doing that. And of course, if you want real slashing power, a Kukri is gonna be what you want I do really like Bowies though :)

  • @Schmidt54 this brings up the old slashing vs stabbing debate. I prefer slashing and Bowies over thrusts and daggers. One piece of evidence that I'll cite to support my stance was a duel in 1587 in Paris between Jacques de Quelus, and the Baron d'Entragues, it is said that Quelus was run through 19 times and still took 33 days to die. I was once sniped to the wrist by a bowie knife which severed 11 tendons and I was combat ineffective instantly.

  • It doesn't really matter which knife is better - It's all comes down to the person using it. If the person with the dagger is better than the person with the Bowie, the person with the dagger will win, and vice versa.
