That the Airline is Bankrupt ok ! but for my dad that worked 42 years for Alitalia but Lives in Canada and is pension is cut by 30 % is unrespectable because in Europe Pensions are untouchable so Alitalia took off other countries pension instead of European !

I hope the Unions have their speeches prepared in a weeks time when Alitalia runs out of cash completely and their thousands of members are unemployed. How do you say "sorry, we completely f&^ked it" in Italian?

you see folks this is what happens when you all think you are larger than the company you work for. Someone who owned the Italian airports once said : once we knew how the unions and the arrogance of the staff were going to send us to the wall, we sold out and ran to the other side of the world.

No need for sarcasm!! What a tragedy. Italy is such a fabulous country with many wonderful people. The culture,music, food wines and superb scenery and incredible history.I truly love the country. They really need to cut back the airline enormously to survive.What a shame an agreement couldn't be reached.

I am sure that translated Alitalia means lazy and obnoxious - oh no wait - it means that in Italian as well. At least they will look pretty in their nice uniforms standing on the street with their begging bowls when they no longer have a job. Bravissimo Alitalia!!!!
