"Countdown" guest host David Shuster calls out the National Review, a leading conservative publication, for praising Mitt Romney's profitable past at Bain -- without mentioning the bailouts that contributed to the private equity firm's success. "All news publishers, even [the National Review], have an obligation to be honest and truthful," says Shuster.

  • Truth Hurts.. Romney is a silver spoon up the ass born prick. Never worked a day in his life , Dodged the draft while he picketed the picketers who were protesting the draft at Stanford .. Romney is a liar.

  • Excellent reporting Mr. Shuster.

  • As for the steel mill, Bain didn't have anything to do with what the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp had to give out. It collects fees from pension funds to cover such events. Not to mention this happened in 2001, AFTER Romney left Bain Capitol. But during a time the entire steel industry was getting wiped out. Too bad Schuster would prefer to ignore the basic facts.

  • Adults should not let their kids watch anything from Current. It wasn't a bailout. Asinine describes Schuster here pretty well.

Bain and Company asked the FDIC to write down its debt after it had gotten in trouble while Romney was away. If someone owes you a hundred dollars, but they're going broke. Would you rather get $75 or take a risk of getting $0? The only reason the FDIC was involved was because Bain and Co owed a bank which had gone belly up which means the FDIC was the receiver.

  • Romney/Bain bailed out no surprise. He even answered Juliana Goldman at the Bloomberg debate of Oct. 11 that he was in support of bailouts - "That's a decision which I would I would like to have input on if I were president of the United States and try and prevent the kind of contagion that would affect the U.S. banking system and put us at risk".

Google the transcript of that debate.

    Ron Paul 2012

  • What a MF'n piece of shit

  • Romney the governor's son, draft dodger, Goldman Sachs sellout, is another puppet, like Obama, also a Goldman Sachs sellout. Go2 opensecrets website to see that in 08, McCain was also funded by, yep, Goldman Sachs, and other bailout banks. Ron Paul served in the Air Force, knows the economy and foreign policy better than any of the others. Ron also runs on citizens donations, NOT Goldman Sachs money. RP 2012.

  • @SIERRAHPBT you are so right my friend ... Ron Paul cannot be bought ...

  • Hey Mitt > duck and cover

    XD
