Gatwick Anti Noise Group Report 2 - G.A.N.G

The Gatwick Anti-Noise Group (GANG) has its origins in its foundation in 2005 in response to the sudden increase in air traffic over Chiddingstone, Hever, Mark Beech and Marsh Green. Today it has widened its coverage and representation and represents a rapidly growing and well-supported action group.
GANG campaigns for 5 main outcomes: 1. — The establishment and effective monitoring & policing of noise controls on arriving aircraft
2. — For a more equitable spread of aircraft
3. — For aircraft to follow a steeper angle of descent and thus to be higher for longer
4. — For the aircraft using Gatwick to be on average quieter by eliminating the older noisier planes
5. — For a ban on night flying.
