Guess what - we already do that here in Texas = B 100 in the diesel. Made from waste cooking oil by a company in Arlington. Have been running B 20 to B 100 for years. Work's for us. Brazil is lucky - a good place to grow sugar cane = make ethanol. Onward. Thanks TJ

TYPOgal - or what ever you are, wherever you're from . . . DEC measured 13 tests of shale flowback at 267 times the safe level for disposal. No disposal well in NY will take radioactive shale frack flowback. None. The closest disposal well that will take this mess is in Ohio.

NYS has no regs. for fracking shale. It will learn from the mistakes made in Pa. Not from some fracking happy talk from a fracking camp following groupie.

Property tax in NYS is assessed by a tax assessor in each township. So more than a dozen townships/ assessors in a county. Each one of which has to determine how to value the asset, which, in the case of a gas well with a steep decline curve, is tricky. Some assessors may be able to value the gas properties accurately, many may not. If not, the county, school districts etc. will get shortchanged. The state gets none of the property tax. So other state have a direct tax on production.

The tax your refer to is just the ad valorem property tax. Which applies to all real assets, both real estate and personal property. Just like the property tax on your house or personal belongings. Property tax is a given - on everything. Not something "special" in New York for gas assets.

What's special about New York is that it is one of the few places without a direct tax on production. And any out-of-state producer can avoid NY income tax by booking sales out of state.

We could just be Growing Industrial Hemp for Fuel and get Cellulose Ethanol from it as well as Bio-Diesel from it's seeds...instead of these insane efforts to reach deep water Oil or Fracking Shale...we could use Flex Fuel vehicles easily already today Brazil is at 45% Renewable Energy...Industrial Hemp renews every 4 months and eats CO2 like crazy...

Sorry for typo, its supposed to be NEPAgal, like in NE Penn, not NRPA. Yes, I did join when this video uploaded, didn't have anything to say before that. I am not criticizing only asking someone not to post half the truth or nontruths in pursuit of their own agenda. I am for SAFE drilling and the issues, including environmental protections like the water, can only be hammered out when ALL the facts are presented. NG drilling is inevitable; knowing the legit concerns are vital.
