Go to http://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/Oil_Filters for the types of oil filters you can use. Please be gentle with the comments. This is the first video I've made and uploaded, so please be nice. =)

  • Hi…I just wanted to say that your video was very informative and I liked your attitude about the whole thing. I am relatively new to motorcycles, just got my license two years ago and been the proud owner of a 2004 Ninja 250 for one of those years. Your bike looks very new and shiny! One thing that I would suggest is, and I’ve read this on other places, I think you are supposed to the smear the new gaskets with the old oil. But otherwise your procedure was perfect. Keep on riding!

  • @mannyevans Yes, you are supposed to coat the plastic gaskets with fresh oil, I filmed that originally, but my camera messed up. =/ Thanks for the post and letting others know though!

  • yes i will waiting for the next videos...im trying to buy 06' 250 on craigslist...the seller says it has 7000 miles and tire and brake pad has not been changed and she also said that it will need regular spring time maintance...and she wants $2000...idk i think $1700 will be decsent but..will see.

  • Seems like a decent price at 2,000 even with the maintenance needing to be done. My 07 was 2500. Any requests? I'll be posting an air filter change video here soon. =)

  • Hi Stacy :) Again, GREAT HOW TO VIDEO!!! it's been a while and you have not uploaded any more motorcycle related videos. :'(

    Did you sell your bike!?

anyway hope you make a few more videos :)

I own a 2006 Kawasaki 250R with 2400 miles. I got it for $2000, no problem what so ever. nice huh! :) I like your bike better cause its black and mine is red :( k bye bye (DANG, your so good looking)

  • @akornfan04 Nice paint job... thats aftermarket for sure

  • well done! Here's a few idears I have - buy a box of disposable nitrile gloves to keep your hands clean. They are probably tough enough to withstand long nail poke thru. Then after the old oil is drained but before you replace the drain plug go ahead and pour a little bit of fresh oil into the motor and allow it to drain. This helps push out any residual crud in the crankcase. And for what its worth, Fran does not have the best reputation for quality, at least in automotive circles :o)

  • Perfect how-to vid. Thanks! If u post the spark plug replacement vid or air filter clean/replacement vid, plz let me know.

  • Thanks big time! I just changed my oil and oil filter for they first time today! will be looking forward to any videos you'll post next.

  • Thanx. helped my first time

  • Good video, thanks!
