@mariojulian10 - No, the Gentle Leader can NOT be used as a muzzle. It does not stop the dog from opening its mouth.

i saw a lot of people in up state new york walk A LOT of their dogs with that head colar! I thought the same thing "ain't htat a mussle" i looked up head colars and now i understand!

I just put this on my 50lbs lab.. She is a terrible dog for the first 30 minutes of every walk we've ever gone on, pulling and not listening...
I put the gentle lead on her, and literally within 2 minutes of our walk (first time use) she was walking beside me and looking at me for direction... Highly recommend thus to anyone with a problem walker.. And I've only used it once
