Video of Martin Diamond recording drum a track to this great song by the Rippingtons. Don't know why they didn't use a drummer for this track, just the backing percussion. Love this tune, so I figured I'd make up a drum part for it. Dig that trumpet player!

  • What snare sound # are you using?

  • td-10 brain, sound #88 piccolo3s, with quite a bit of editing and eqing...

  • hey dude really nice playin'... is that an office chair you're sittin' on?

  • lol... no it's a Roc-n-Soc throne with the backrest. I highly recommend it! Thanks for the compliment...

  • whats the name of this song by the rippingtons? and that couldnt have been played any better 5 stars from me

  • Thanks for that great compliment. It's called Angelfire off the Black Diamond CD. The other Ripps track I posted is also from the same disc. And I did a third one I need to upload. Love that disc.

  • I'm liking the open-handedness. is that how you normally play? (First video of yours I've seen, so IDK)

Awesome job, btw! Hope I'll be able to groove like that someday.

  • beautiful music.

  • DUDE. YOUR ARMS ARE SO BUFF! AND YOURE GOOD AT DRUMS!

  • this is soooo good!!!

can you do a drum cover of "numb" by ill nino? it's kinda like this stuff :D

  • I just put my shit in the closet.

  • great job

    keep it up

  • what is the name of this tune? I really like it! Great playing too ! :)

  • that's okay what you play, but now work on your dynamic playing. with latin grooves, it's very important you play the bassdrum softly, snare regular, but the cymbals louder, because that's what makes latin a swingmaster. no offense.. good playing anyway =]

  • this song's melody's pretty nice

especially the beginning part with the guitar

  • is that mozambique?? it sounds like it?
