Massive fire obliterated an entire block of businesses at Hampton Beach NH. Surf Hotel, Happy Hampton Arcade and other businesses were completely destroyed. Onlookers watch the cleanup with wild surf crashing behind them on the beach.

  • Hampton Beach is Hampton Beach. It's honky tonk, no doubt. One does not go to Hampton for a high brow experience. Go there for the throw back arcades, the fish and chips, the people watching and the usually great surf. Whether you love it or hate it, is irrelevant to the loss that this fire left in it's wake. Property, businesses and jobs were lost and no one should wish that on anyone.

  • well think of it this way

yeah it sucks that the whole block of the surf hotel got burnt down but

there might be something new and better

and thank god that it was JUST this block and not the whole area

so think of it that way just for happy thoughts

  • omg when this happen thats my childhood there i crew up going there every summer when i was young im from nj but i was planning to move there omg this just happen resently this cant fucking be happening this is my life there man this cant be im going there this week to see for myself i drive 5 hours to get there

  • @beny742 cape cod..overpriced crap..snotty people from west of boston who spend about 2 hours a week with their kids because they are to busy at the country club..their nanny knows their kids better than they do..sad..at least the "white trash" are happy with themselves..the people on the cape not so much.

  • @XchelseybooX yes it was old but it was always run by local people and not big company like Hilton or Hyatt it would kill the local feel your opinion is right if Hampton beach was looking to be upscale

new is not always to go bigger is not always better

  • I just this video and started to cry I am 42 yrs old and going to Hampton beach my whole life it is like a piece of me just died

I have been around the world and it was always nice to come home to yes it was old but it was always run by local people and not big companys like Hilton or Hyatt it would kill the local feel

RIP Happy Hampton where I got my first kiss

  • CA is nasty #1 most fail state ever. Coming from a Oakland person. Hampton Beach is bad run down lots of killings, still TONS of people that go there. It takes me 2 hours to drive 1/2 mile on the beach in the summer.

  • It's almost embarrassing to take my husband to Hampton Beach. He is originally from CA. When we go to NH to visit my relatives, he is amazed that I put Hampton Beach on a pedastal. Now I am starting wonder why myself. Hampton Beach really needs to upgrade and give itself a facelift. I know it takes money but maybe some rich person will take an interest and help out the town. Wishful fan of Hampton Beach.....

  • I think it would be beneficial if the beach area could "step it up" a little by having large chain hotels (Hilton and Hyatt for example) and nice restaurants and shops to bring in more tourists. Tourists who are going to spend the money and that equals tax dollars. This will only benefit the state and Hampton itself.
