  • Yes, you are right. It can take time, but once the first course is in, it goes really fast after that. To speed up the base course, be sure to use a laser level during spreading and compaction. Another trick is to actually use the backhoe bucket to tap down a high corner...BUT use a 4x4 or piece of wood to protect the block, just in case. Look for other redi-rock videos here. Search under "bridge abutments", there's a really good one! Thanks!

  • I think that system looks good is just that i think that base course takes lots of time to get them level.

  • No - those are the very tiny blocks that way about 5-10 pounds each. Those are nice, but are for decoration and not for making real walls. These blocks weigh about 2000 pounds each, so you can stack them pretty high before you have a problem with them tipping over.

  • $1.26 at home depot

  • VT Crusade, The block cost will vary because Redi-Rock has blocks that range from 21" to 60" from face-to-rear. That's a big difference in the amount of concrete used. Also, they have different face types as well as colors, which can affect cost. I recommend that you contact Jake at Redi-Rock - he will help you find your closest dealer. Keep me posted on your progress ... send photos of the final wall! Thanks!

  • What is the average per block cost?
