Yep, that's the amazing power of the mighty .220 Swift, varmint destroyer without parallel.
And, before all you bleeding hearts go on about how cruel this was, DO consider that the groundhog he just shot never even had a chance to feel pain at all.
Since the bullet was going mach 3.5, he never even heard it coming, and the massive destruction from the bullet impact assured no pain whatsoever.
Humane in the extreme.

Awesome, I have a video of a prairie dog at 231 yards with my .220 swift. I think it's the greatest varmint cartridge ever made!

depends on when it was made, older guns (Pre- 1970's) wear after a few hundred rounds. After 1970's, the barrel is made of higher quality steel and can last a very long time if it is properly maintained
