Dear people of God Elijah the mighty prophet never experience death, taken up to heaven in a whirlwind 2 king 2:11, the mantle of Elijah fallen upon Elisha the next successor prayed for double portion of the blessings 2king 2:2-9 Elisha took the mantle struck the Jordan river 2 king 2:13-14, Jordan river opened the way for prophet Elisha later Syrian general and a commander Naaman approach prophet Elisha thru the king of Israel seeking healing for the dreadful disease leprosy, he was willing to pay any price in fact he never showed empty but loads of precious metal and gifts upon horses and camel offered to the prophet, 2king 5:1-17 Elisha the prophet never dare to see the gift and the possession that he brought, seems to be he never gave priority or preminence rather sent word thru his messenger, general go wash your Self seven times in Jordan river. at once the commander become wild & furious he thought the prophet try to insult & belittle by saying wash yourself in Jordan river? or not Abana, Pharpar the river of Damascus better than the rivers of Jordan 2king 5:12 because of the insistence of his loyal servants they were quiet persistence oh! dear general why not try what the prophet prescribed it is not a big of deal it make no difference to try once since we are still in Israel come long way seeking for a solution so the general Naaman Aqiess to their request did as the prophet prescribed. he immersed six times in the Jordan river nothing happened, Dear people of God there is a life lesson for all of us to learn never Quit never quit keep on asking, seeking, knocking until door opens math 7:7, 7 times supposed to dip to find an answer , but he plunged 6 times still one more to go he never seen a result yet 6 is a imperfect number because he never complying with the prophet again his loyal servants requested to one more time the moment he plunged seventh time(perfect number) because God created everything on 6 days on the seventh day. God has finished his work seventh day he rested he blessed that day & he made it holy, Gen 2:1-3. Well the general Naaman completely cleansed, His flesh was restored clean like that of a young man. 2 king 5:15. Let us now turn to the new testament scriptures, several hundred years later, John the Baptist the fore runner preaching & Baptizing in the same Jordan river Luke 3;3-6 his message was repent all mankind will see God Salvation, people were still wondering in their hearts if john might possibly be The Christ John the Baptist was Quite plain said IAM NOT, the one more powerful than I will soon show up ,the thongs of his sandal I am noteven worthy to untie, He will Baptize with holy spirit and with fire Luke 3:16, john the Baptist saw Jesus coming towards him and said in a loudvoice this is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world john 1:29-34 Jesus came to Jordan river to be baptized by john, tried to deter him saying i need to Baptised by you do you come to me? Jesus replied let it be so now it is proper for us to do this, to fulfill the scriptures so john consented as soon as Jesus baptized THE HEAVEN OPENED WIDE THE SPIRIT OF GOD DESCENDED LIKE A DOVE LIGHTING ON HIM A VOICE FROM HEAVEN SAID THIS IS MY BELOVED SON WHOM I LOVE & WELL PLEASED WITH HIM. MATH 3:13-17. Dearest people of God, you have heard in the past red sea parted later Jordan parted, but remember as soon as Jesus Christ was Baptised the grace and gifts will flow to everyone who put the trust in him. Rom 5:16 there is absolutely no condemnation for anyone who believe in the salvific message, the message for the messed up world Rom 8:1-3, imagine he opened heaven for you and me he certainly willing to shower forth all blessings upon you and your family, turn to him no question asked for his king dom there is no end, his treasures never to be depleted it is waiting for you wonderful folks rivers of blessings.
