M134 Minigun -- This awesome weapon, available in 5.56mm on 7.62mm caliber, is essentially eight (sometimes six) separate guns connected to an electric motor. As the assembly rotates under electric power, each gun fires, causing a hail of bullets which spew out close to 8000 rounds per minute! Meant ro be mounted on aircraft, this monster weapon has been seen in many films being "fired from the hip." Perhaps nobody did it better than Minnesota's own Jesse "The Body" Ventura in "Predator." The gun for that movie, built by Chuck Stembridge, a noted Hollywood gun consultant was powered by a remote battery which was connected by a cable which ran down Jesse's pants leg during the filming. M240 machine gun - The M240, formally United States Machine Gun, 7.62mm, M240, is a family of belt-fed medium machine guns firing the 7.62 x 51 mm NATO cartridge (w/ M13 Link). It is based on the FN MAG machine gun which is based on the Browning Automatic Rifle.

  • M134, When you just absoluty must kill everything!

  • Agree wt. ppk45 and others. Cost efficiency matters. AK47 made its mark in history but is still very much lowtech. Military forces may evolve into such expensive hightech that they literaly paint themselves out of history. The trick is to combine hightech and cost efficiency and then keep the expensive hightech weaponry for those critical situations where they are really needed.

  • Thats a lot of ammo waisted on hitting such a huge target! Might as well drop a nuke Just to kill a hamster!

  • There is only one reason for a video like this to exist and that is fear. People are starting to ask if the terminator gun is worth the investment and the factories response boils down to 'well you didn't need that extra ammo anyway'

  • Plus, minigun practically doesn't have recoil.

  • M134- overkill when you need it

  • m240 is good for suporting fire and ambushes but the minigun is just awesome and in every case.

  • :0............1:23 let's look at that again.

  • but it m240 made the kill can only cost about $9.00 (.75 per round). the mini cost $82.5 (110x$.75) to kill the same target.

  • you cannot compare these 2 weapons, any weapon with a gatlin mechanism can not be carried in the way that the m240b or the m249, as a Squad Atuomatic Weapon. the 249 is a piece of shit. the 240b is one of the best weapon systems i have ever used. Yes the gatlin can shoot faster and you don't have to change out the barrels but you have to mount a gatlin which limits your options on the battlefield especially when ambusing, not to mention you need batteries to spin the gun up.

  • anyone think a 556 minigun could be converted to 6.8x45mm? its supposed to be almost identical to the 6.8 spc but its based on the 556 just with a larger grain bullet... so the only thing on most weapons that needs to be changes to switch calibres is the barrel... as far as ive heard anyway.
