@ShyAnnWelburn5 (Continuing last comment...) I'd tell her that you love her, but you felt the need to tell her this hurt you. (I have my Bachelors in Communication, and really took an interest in Interpersonal Communication. If you talk to her like that, I feel confident she will refrain from being defensive or making an excuse-which is a usual response. You're actually using a formula in the dialogue I've given you below which should help her understand your feelings.God Bless.

@ShyAnnWelburn5 Geez...thanks Mom. Don't let it get you down girl...parents get in bad moods & can take it out on the ones they love. Not that that is OK. It's not. Maybe in a calm way, sit down & make sure you have her full attention.  Tell her you were having a great day worshiping with Christ in song, & her comment wasn't okay. Ask her if her comment had any purpose other than being negative. Maybe ask her if she would ever say that to a friend or co-worker. (My guess is no).
