Sometimes you will feel tempted to open your hand by stealing tiles, but when is it actually a good idea?

This video explains why you want to practice restraint, and the shows you the many disadvantages of opening your hand.

Also covered is when to back off and slow down based on reads, even after you have been speeding up by stealing tiles.

Sorry for the poor sound once again. It sounds like I have a clip on my nose!

  • Thanks for the excellent tutorials. This is "living" strategy that you can't get anywhere else -- when you're sitting at the table, you can't really talk to the others without ruining the game for everyone else. Totally amazing how you can read the other players and avoid furikomi. Keep up the good work.
