READ THIS: Another cool video destroyed by WMG. Sorry. They didn't like that I had brief clips from the motion picture soundtrack. Which is shitty, because there are soooo many videos on youtube that copy entire songs! And they don't just mute their disputed track, they mute EVERYTHING. Even my original voiceover content. I thought I would be safe under the "fair use" clause because it's just for simple entertainment and education purposes. No profit. No gain whatsoever on my behalf. If anything, they should be paying ME for the free advertising. Oh well. Another victim of the copyright witch hunt.

I went to "AudioSwap", which was YouTube's preferred method to "resolve the conflict", and let YouTube choose what they considered a suitable audio track (because apparently their robots know better than me). Apparently it is now a shitty jazz track. You're welcome.

I'll put some annotations up, if it helps. But it will never be as cool as the original video, which I worked hard to put together. Sorry. I'm also going to turn off comments to go along with the "silenced by youtube" theme. GRRR!! (Edit: I'm turning comments back on. 5/25/09)

  • u shoul make a vid on showing u building and explainig the process

  • @MultiCmiller I cannot make a vid showing me building this, because I cannot go back in time. And I'm not going to make another one. It was just a one-time Halloween costume.

This video originally had a fairly detailed voiceover explaining the process, and some hints to consider, but WMG and YouTube destroyed the audio track in their copyright witch hunt.

If you are planning to build your own costume and have specific questions, send me a private message so I can give a longer response.

  • the one for your dog is awesome!

  • @llStrifell Thanks! I told everyone, she was "Ephialtes".

  • @Coteer You're just an asshole troll. Blocked.

  • I like the fact that the dog has his own armor. That's awesome

  • Excellent job! Clever workmanship.

  • @tlacaelel090 Regarding the scars and hits: I basically started by making it all fairly smooth. I made most of the linear scars by gouging with the edge of a big file. Also some with a dremel tool. The little pits and holes were done with a dremel tool. Just adding texture to make it look old and battle worn. If you have any specific questions, send me a private message. I can give longer responses that way. Your smart to start this soon! It took me a looong time!

  • wow these are nice works. good job mate, i anjoyed your effort on creating the whole costume.

im planning to be either a spartan or iron man this year.

  • Wow! That was harsh, considering this was a halloween costume made just for fun by an amateur. Your remark shows that you are an antisocial jackass. How is this "garbage", compared to other amateur costumes? Because if you are trying to compare this to professional or experienced costumers, you are WAY out of line. Tell me what you mean, but try not to be such a prick. Also, I noticed you did not bash the costumes at "MY "300" COSTUME", or others. Is it something personal?
