  • No Lift Shift.. Keep on the gas when shifting. I have been looking into TWM for the SS. Thank you much!

  • I have actually never tried that. Is it not possible to damage the transmission that way?

  • Do you have to move and make sure you go into the right gear? Is it hydrolic? How about showing some NLS and quick shifts? I'm looking to get one for my 09' T/C. Thank you

  • Well TWM doesn't make short shifters for the S/C and T/C, so I'm not really sure how different it is. I know B&M and Hurst make shifters for it. You might want to talk to someone who has installed one of those in an SS. What do you mean by NLS and quick shifts?

  • how do you take off the stock shift boot?

  • You have to remove the whole top of the center console and detach the boot from underneath. I haven't actually done it though.

  • @arcofadiver1 If you don't have an SS yes. What trim is this? If you want you can PM me since I have a few questions about buying one. :)

  • Would you happen to know how to remove the shift knob for automatics if it has a shift boot on it

  • do no lift under full throttle. it doessnt hurt anything. they ran 600 consecutive no lifts to test its durability, im getting the twm i think for my 08 turbo. also look into the trifecta tune for about 600$ you will have 320hp 370tq with no add ons

  • It's a feature on only the SS models.

If you look in your cobalt manual, you will see it, provided yours is 08 or newer

  • gratz on getting the shifter working :p

  • lol yes. and the clutch
