her technique is atrocious... so much so that it looks like this is some sort of other lift (variation?) from a hang snatch?
like others have said.. she's just lifting the bar up with no lower body involvement.. and she is jumping as she pulls the bar upwards? (looks like it)
She is basically pressing it with no lockout.

Shins need to be vertical when the bar is above the knees. Feet should never stomp.... and I'm not sure if those are fancy running shoes but if they are, they have to go.

I'd like a better look at that snatch

Wow very hot and strong

Yes, because you're supposed to throw the bar up and at the same time, lower your body to get under the bar, then lockout.
-
Lol, exactly. If they drop it on their head or body, then you rush in and move the bar off of them, just like the olympics. :)

@ReignzOfBrainz Agreed. When I asked my coach how to spot the snatch, his reply was "give them bummers plates and get the hell out of the way"

TOTALLY HOT!

Holy shit this girl is tough

Thank You Erin for taking the time to post this videos, among all the figure competitors you are the one that really inspired me, and your videos helped me with my workouts. I didn't have any idea about this move, and now I love it, You are a Very Strong Woman!
You are turning a lower body exercise into an upper body exercise. Not trying to be a hater but here's what i notice. You aren't popping the bar with your hips. you're merely pulling it over your head. you have developed a strong turnover. Focus on a) leaning the butt back and keeping the legs as straight as possible (weight on the heels, with the chest up over the bar) and then b) firing your hips into the bar (the bar should make contact with the waist) you can do a whole lot more weight

@donkstrikerdan This is so true. No hips at all to drive the bar up. I hate videos like this because people let attractive people like her get away with less than good technique just because she looks good. It's apparent from the comments that people commenting on her Olmypic lift technique don't know how to do the lifts and are simply making positive comments from little to any basis. I ain't buying this.
