"32-Hands" of SunBinQuan (孫臏拳卅二手), performed by Damon Hwang in 1990. This form was learned from Master Yin, Chian-Ho (尹千合) in about 1970.
Frankly, the style was already changed from the original, by Damon Hwang personally.

  • cool~I am wondering if you have 64 or 94 hand?

  • "32 Hands" is the only SunBin form I learned. (32 is enough to me. I am an easy-satisfied person.)

  • @DamonHwang Can I ask a personal question? I know many Styles have a group of "forms" that make up a system. Are the individual forms considered its own style? do you know what I mean? like is each form a system by it self in the past? thanks sifu

  • For some of the questions in this link, Sun Bin Quan is a style of fighting from Shandong. It is stylistically similar to some Shandong Tang Lang styles and also Tong Bei Quan. The focus is on rapid nerve strikes and palm attacks onto relatively weak skeletal features, rather than power blows. The main forms are 32, 64 and 96 hands. I learned these from Master Kao fang hsien.

There is a video series for sale on the system, but frankly the teacher performing it does not look very robust.

  • Like others I studied 32 hands a long time ago and cherish fond memories of the form. Are you aware of any books or degital recordings on the system. I would greatly appreciate any help you can extend.

  • Dear Willy, frankly I know not much about the hostory of SunBinQuan, but it is definately nothing to do with TangLangQuan. My Master Yin ever classified it as ShaoLin, do you think? SunBin is the name of a very wise ancient Chinese general whose legs were broken by his enemy with trick, but finally beat & kill that enemy by tricks too. The name of SunBinQuan should be also nothing to do with the person, just a Chinese KungFu 's naming process.

  • Sun Bin Quan it's a form very cool! I like soo much the energy expresion in that form!

  • Dear Uncle Master! Sun Bin Quan it's the tanglang quan style? What tanglang quan style it is? chihsing, mimen, papu or mei hua? What it's the sun bin quan meaning?

    Regards and my respect!

  • Dear Willy, I suppose the guy you saw in video is me, as I am the only one "playing" SunBinQuan within Wutan group. I might confirm that if you can possibly obtain the video and convert into digital file to put onto internet.
