One of the greatest instrumentals ever recorded. The 1949 recording was used in the movie Bonnie and Clyde and then re-recorded after the film. The original version, in my opinion, was far superior to the more familier version that most people know and play today. It's faster, there were no breaks and the noting was more complicated. Earl Scruggs at his very best.

For some crazy reason, every time I hear this I run through the bushes while making sure I keep my hat on my head.

I live in California. I love bluegrass. I smoke cannabis and drink bitter IPA with friends while listening to stuff like this.

Yes'm... I remember (I'm an old man) when the N.C.-Tenn. border was a scary 2 lane highway (@ 4000 feet & no guard-rails) before 26 went from Asheville all the way up to Kingsport.
