As far as your "IF" business: Why did you chose "Denton-based" and "burn the college" if you did not imply a veiled, derogatory comment on the quality of education at UNT, TWU, or NCTC? The answer seems rhetorical to me, but that may be the misunderstanding.
Guess what? They'll still be there. Taking down a building doesn't change who who hangs around.
What the development really did was start the slow loss of Fry Street's identity. I guess when everything looks like Frisco, TX then Denton will be better off right?
As being around in or around Fry Street in Denton for about 7 years on occasion, it was always home. I'm GLAD someone set it on FIRE, instead of it being BULLDOZED. So many people made efforts to save this, but money got in the way. This is Denton's way of saying FUCK YOU.
Just my comments. It's a shame to see it go, Denton and UNT will NEVER be the same again.
Very sad day for Denton folks who love going to Tomato. I know so many folks including myself who practically grew up here and attended school.
Go UNT,TWU,NCTC brothers!

So wait, were they planning to destroy the Tomato anyway? Was this fire deliberate, you think?
It makes me really sad to see this go. It was usually Shiner Bock and a slice of Pepperoni between classes.
