Her voice box actually developed. It was that her throat was too small to have a voice box in it. One day she was palying with a ball and was breathing really hard and just passed out. We decided to take out her voice box, that way she can still play with chew toys. She still has a hard time breathing even without her voice box! She is a great little dog though I have so many videos of her doing dumb stuff, she knows how to climb a fence!

aww, I have a yorkie cross who was born without a voice. He's 2 now and still hasn't been able to regain a real voice. He tries tho! He's found ways to make little noises of his own.

My Yorky had a litter of 6 pups that are 24 days old today and one seem not to be able to wine, growl or bark. He only makes a gasping kind of sound. At first I thought he was chocking on something but nope It's just the sound he makes. Its a gasping choking kind of sound. All the other puppies have no problems with their voices. I'm guessing his voice box didn't develope properly and he would be the perfect pet for someone living in an appartment since he can't bark to disturbe the neighbors :)
