New 39a owner here. After cleaning and putting back together, my lever no longer opens. What did I do wrong?
-
This will be my 3rd gun! yay!
-
my ejector wont pop back up... any help?
-
I have the same exact small screwdriver :D

I have a Golden Marlin 39A Mountie. It was my grandfather's, then my father's, now it's mine. I feel no need to ever own another .22 rifle, and one day, it will be my son or daughter's. I have been told it's the finest .22 rifle ever made, and I can't find any reason to disagree.

when loosening the take down screw i always found using a coin was the easiest way ,also handy when you may not have access to a screwdriver

How ya doin'? My buddy just gave me one of these and it needs cleaning, thanx alot for the vid. Very simple, huh? Have a good one, good video. Glen
i have one of these new 39a's comming and im thinking about
mounting a Simmons Mag 22 scope on it. i'm not sure if i need a
scope base though..on marlin website it sais that
All Marlin 39's are shipped with scope mount from the factory.
is this true? did yours come with the extra part to mount a scope?

@horsefly4 yea, mine came with the mount. there are 4 screws above the action that come out, and then the mount goes on top of that. It also comes with 4 longer screws to go through the mount and then engage the threads in the gun. pretty self explanitory once you see it. be sure to save the short screws in case you want the scope to come off though.

I've been wanting to buy a .22 lever gun for years! Besides having to save up the money, the only other thing stopping me was that I had no idea how I would properly clean it! Now I know which rifle I'm going to get. Thank you for this video.
