  • When you throw your left hook your right hand is down below your liver, don't do that! One of the most common counters to the left hook is another left hook. So keep that right hand up to keep your liver and face from your opponents hook.

You also throw allot of arm punches, turn your body with your punches for more power

    Step into your jab.

I notice that sometimes you freeze for a second after you load up and connect with your straight right hand. dont do that, go back to guard imediately

  • hey thanks for the comments,i always like constructive critisism.

at the moment iv had zero boxing training, none at all.i had planned to be training by now but alot o personal problems in my life stopped me.

however im now ready and im looking for a club near my area as i really want to get into boxing while i have time and see how far i can take it.

i feel ill improve big time if i can get some good coaching as im very commited and want to put my all in.

    thanks for the comments !!

  • Sorry man i'm going to analyze this a little for you.

Dont square up your feet with the bag when move, this will kill your balance and get you knocked down by even the lightest punch.

You also have a bad habit of launching that second punch before the 1st one makes it back and resets your guard.

  • Hey man, i know you said you were not working on your gaurd and focusing on you combos but my coaches always tell me always consider the bag an opponent so that way you dont develop bad muscle memory/ habits that can lose you a match. Try putting a speed bag glove under your chin and hold it to your chest when you shadow box and hit the bag it'll help you get used to keepin that chin down.

What do you do for your training regimen? I'd love to chat with you about training, message me.
