This is an old recording of my first band Midnight Sun covering Rush "Red Barchetta". It was recorded live in Mitch's basement on March 27, 1982 on a Teac cassette deck using two $30 Realistic mics. Michael Yarborough (drums), Mitch Morrison (bass, keyboards) and I (guitar) were in high school and each been playing our instruments for about two years. We had been playing together for about a year only able to practice as a band about one weekend a month as we were spread out in three towns. We added another guitarist, Hank Marr, shortly before we recorded this. None of us sang at the time so this version is an instrumental. We chose to play mostly Rush material as their songs worked well as instrumentals.
