This shot was taken 4 months after hatching. Don't know why they are growing so slowly. There are quite a few of them in there.

  • @ryansloan14 Looks like you're right. Those swimming in a jerky way are probably water fleas. The other specie in here is smaller and swimming in a more stable way.

    Both triops and water fleas are crustaceans. My package specified the following species: Fairy shrimp, Daphnia, Clam shrimp and Triops.

    Daphnia is also known as water fleas. My tank is now 7 months and activity remains unchanged. So it seems my "Triop world" is indeed without any "Triops longicaudatus" (dinosaur/tadpole shrimp).

  • There not triops look like very big water fleas

  • I bought one of these kits a few years ago as a child & I got about five triops & a few of these water fleas. It’s all about luck really.

  • i bought this product 9 days ago so far i have 1 triop 5 fairy shrimp and 10 water fleas
