  • whiltst they don't know it, sordid frightfulness and ghastly horridness are the watchwords of the youngsters of the western world today! Though, they don't use the terms they are governed by them. They would probably describe their condition as 'nasty it was, you know what I is sayin'?' or 'I was so he's frightening me and he was so I'm ugly'. Great comedy. Try Armstrong and Miller on BBC I Player or YouTube.

  • This is not the whole thing but if search on youtube for 'Norbert Smith' you should find the whole thing.

  • "Thwell"! 'Thwell goodnight."

  • But sordid frightfulness and ghastly horridness are the cornerstones of my pastime!

  • I recorded this on video when it was first shown in October 1989. I still have it on tape (but the video recorder has packed out!). Perhaps I could have uploaded it myself but didn't. As far as I know this has never come out on video or dvd since it was first shown.

  • It's part an hour long mockumentary about a fictional over the hill actor named Norbert Smith.

  • This is Harry Enfield, very popular in the UK (currently on the new BBCAmerica show "Skins") This was broadcast on PBS Masterpiece Theater decades ago titled "Sir Norbert Smith: A Life" Its a wonderful spoof on the way some documentaries are made. Harry Enfield also starred in a UK sitcom called "Men Behaving Badly". Google him to find out more ^_^ THANX for posting these segments kk99ll! Its timeless humor!

  • I don't think this is the whole thing?

  • Hey, isn't that JOHN CLEESE (or is it an English Ernie Kovacs)?

  • I suppose the 'unmentionable' that you cover with the 'thing' in his hand, is your big toe or possibly your nose !!
