  • I was thinking about owning either a pink toe or a emperor scorpion I saw two pink toes at petco one small and adult whats better.

  • @anitec19 Well it all depends on what you want. I can't give you much info on personal experience of an Emperor Scorpion because I have never owned one, but Pink toes are generally a good T to get. I've enjoyed everyone of the ones I've had the pleasure of owning. Pink toes are a little more active compared to some emperors I've seen, so if you want an active pet go with the Pink toe if not then the scorpion. Either way, their both great investments :)

  • im going to start owning tarantulas and i cant decide between the mexican red knee, or the pink toe because their both awesome, im thinking maybe the mexcian red knee to start off and get a bit of experience for what it is like than get a pink toe? and also i might sound dumb but it doesnt bother me, how do you keep a high humidity for this tarantula?

  • @RipYourHead0ff You can keep the humidity high by using different types of substrate and just misting it a couple times a day. I have never owned a B. Smithi, but I have handled them countless times. Pink toes are a little more "jumpy" when startled but overall a Pink toe is a good choice. The redknee is a better choice if your a beginner because they aren't as jumpy and are really docile, plus their cool as well. If you have more questions feel free to message me. Thanks for watching

  • this is a spider!

  • @vman1223 if you go the emperor routPPPLLLLLEEEEEEAAAAASEEEE, dont put it on sand(like most pet shops do),they are native to west africa(jungle and rain forest) they like it on the dark side, humid, they like to dig into the substrate, and a nice wide shallow water bowl in wich they will get into, put in a half log and they will use it to dig a burrow into it and just sit at the entrance to it.and feed it just 2 crickets per weekmist once a week keep temps at around 80-85 degrees.it wuill be happy

  • i saw a pink toe at petco before and the toes were actually florescent hot pink it was pretty badass

  • D'awwwww. So cute, I really want one. :)

  • @RipYourHead0ff I had cocunut fibre as my bedding and it held moisture really well. I'd pour lots of hot water on one side of the tank (opposite side of where my pink toe had made its web) and it would slowly evaporate from the coconut bedding and keep the tank humid. I would also spray the tank sometimes, but not often as it wasn't always needed. Make sure you also use hot water though because they like 28-32 Celcius degrees.
