(2005/12) WDW: Magic Kingdom New Year's Eve Fireworks

Continuing the New Year 2007 celebration, this is video I shot on Dec 30. Because of crowds, WDW always does an MK NYE celebration on Dec 30 as well as Dec 31. It's a little weird to hear a countdown on Dec 30 but as you'll see, the show is amazing. I love Disneyland, but we can't top perimeter fireworks!!

i have 1 other question, with the december 30th show, they don't hand out noisemakers do they?? (just asking)

Nope, noisemakers only on NYE itself.

when halloweed and christmas wishes start ? and why they not use for new year eve.

Actually, I think HalloWishes did start in 2005. I was there at Halloween in 2004 and HalloWishes was not there. Last year was the 1st year for the Christmas version of Wishes. To my knowledge, they still do Fantasy in the Sky for the actual NYE fireworks show, and Christmas-Wishes for the regular show.

for 2005, they didn't do wishes on NYE. but they also didn't yet have HalloWishes or the Christmas Wishes. It's possible they do show Wishes now on NYE, but I haven't been back to WDW on NYE since 2005.

What you probably saw was the original, non new year's eve version of the show which ran on and off from 1971 to 2003 (with many modifications).

The New Year Fantasy in the Sky show always has 2 main launch sites, one beihnd the castle and another on an island in 7 seas lagoon both of which launch exactly the same show. In addition, 7 other perimeter zones are located around the park for this show and have launched as many as 50 shells each.

Hmm I didn't go on new years eve but I have seen this show twice,I was wondering do they always have the fireworks not above the castle?

Wishes replaced it in 2003. But they still do it for special occasions like New Years and the 4th of July.

they got rid of fantacy in the sky in 2005 or 2006. They might of had that just for a special ocashion.

They got rid of that show in 2006 or 2005 now it is wishes which has more fireworks than epcot. Unless they had that show just for new years which is very suprising to me.
