We are expats -- not tourists. We work here, we live here, we learn daily about the bright sides, and the challenges, of being a foreigner in Denmark. But sometimes it's nice to revisit the glossy arguments and branding material that contributed to our being here, in this fairtytale oasis, in the first place.

Video on the Danish welfare system, flexicurity and innovation made online at www.considerdenmark.com. All material is copyright VisitDenmark.com.

  • wow denmark sound like cool haha :D

  • @babsindk stfu its not your country you dont know either

  • @Oruper Your life must be pretty awesome if you spend your time thinking about dolphins and whales

  • Yeah...if the Danes are so responsible then why they don't stop the dolphin and whale hunt? I mean i tought you where better than this :(

  • Is it true that 65% of teen pregnancies end in abortion?

  • @Maryjoends i hate whales and europe should be for euroepeans.. other wise danish socialism sits well with me

  • Denmark, consider Europe: closing borders and killing whales in Faroe Islands is not a good promotion.

  • @peterlemmich

Phew, I am so glad that you are aware this propaganda film paints an entirely unrealistic and misleading glossy picture. So at least if people read the comments they will be able to disregard the film as a nonsense when they view it.

  • The video is a compilation we made with Visit Denmark's video tool at considerdenmark.dk. We also wrote (slightly sarcastically) about it on our blog, so we're aware that it paints a very glossy picture ;-)

  • This is totally inaccurate! Sheer propaganda. Who, might I ask, is funding this? By publishing this you are misleading people who are considering a move to Denmark. Very irresponsible. I ask again: who is funding this? My favorite quote from this crock of misinformation: "Danes seldom support spending cut backs on childcare, schools or home care for the elderly.." The person writing this - have they spent ANY time with a real cross section of the community in Denmark?
