On November 27th in Helsinki, Finland, boxing fans get to see on SHOWTIME what could be a true classic, as sluggers Arthur Abraham and Carl Froch battle in the Super Six super middleweight tournament. Mick Hennessey, Froch's promoter, says the fight could be a "fight of the decade candidate." An intriguing aspect of the bout is that both former world champions are coming off their very first defeat. Abraham lost to Andre Dirrell by disqualification and Froch lost a narrow decision to Danish fighter Mikkel Kessler in Denmark.

Froch says he will bring his WBC super middleweight title back to England and that he has a "massive, massive chance" to win the Super Six tournament. Referring to Abraham's defeat to Dirrell, Froch said that "he got beat and outclassed by a guy I beat." Froch emphasized that he is a true, power-punching super middleweight, while Abraham is a middleweight who moved up two fights ago. Abraham responded: "I don't want to talk as much as Carl Froch; I will show you in the ring on November 27th."

Where abes came unstuck was in not fighting in Germany. In Germany, he gets away with pulling up his shorts to draw the 'low blows'. We could see Abes folding in half over the body shots and the ref was having none of his complaining. Abes needs to work on being able to take those body shots else he is done. Froch has foght at SMe his career where as Abes has stepped up into the SMW division. All his Ko's have come from fighting smaller men.
