Briefing cutscene for the tenth mission of the Nod campaign in Command & Conquer Tiberian Dawn. (A)

Keep in mind however that the sequels of Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun and Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars both have been based on the successful completion of this game's GDI campaign.

  • @Ianvo I lol'd.

Nope- You see, in the end of the Nod TD campaing, they use the Ion Cannon to blow up some historycally important landmarks, thus blaming GDI on them. As a result, UN funding for GDI would be cut, and Nod gets to be the superpower, as there is no NATO or GDI to defend anyone. Although some missions can, let's say, be canon at the same time, the GDI ending is the canon ending, and the one all of the other C&C titles are based on.

I'm sorry if there is any mispelling, I'm halfway asleep.

  • Kane: Go quickly...

    Commander: *stifled laugh*

    Kane: What?!

    Commander: *looks behind kane* nothing...

  • @lmcorr1 The Commando in C&C1 was somewhat like a sniper. One shot from him can kill any infantry.

  • You get a sniper in CNC1?

  • "Keep in mind however that the sequels (...) have been based on the successful completion of this game's GDI campaign."

Not necessarely, GDI successful campaing was in Europe, and Nod successful campaing was in Africa. Both GDI and NOD ends can co-exist.

  • I started playing in 1996 :)

  • the game was released in 1995, not 1996.

  • So ahead of its time! I loved, and still do, the game today as much as in 1996!

  • Seth was just being witty.
