This video shows both positive and negative DEP effects on yeast cells when an input of 10V (peak-to-peak) at 10kHz and 2MHz was applied simultaneously to a microfluidic device employing microarray-patterned gold slides. Gasket thickness about 180 um, medium conductivity 5 mS/m (KCl), microarray diameter 300 um, cell count about 1.0e8.

This simulation was conducted on 4 August 2009 at Centre of Biomedical Engineering, University of Surrey by Nahrizul Adib Kadri. He is a PhD candidate from the University of Malaya, Malaysia.
