This is Maggie when she is in her calm, lazy state. I call her a Black Lab but I know there is more to her.
Some facts about Maggie's personality and physical attributes include:
Tons of energy (not showcased in this video)
Good listener with commands but is stubborn with some of them (especially "lay down" and "sit" in this video)
Loves to play fetch, but is sometimes resistant to giving the ball back.
Very friendly and great around kids.
Super hyper when people come over to visit.
A happy dog
LOVES chewing.
Loves to sprint.
Afraid of water (actually we've only taken her to a river once)
Maggie is missing her right eye. She was hit by a truck in October 2010.
Maggie is about 70lbs and is about 5'2 when she is on her hind legs.
She has dewclaws on her hind legs.
She needs to be fixed (sometime soon!!)
She has light brown on her face and legs
She is very aggressive when you wrestle with her, which I think is great! Makes it more fun.
She doesn't bite, even with her getting very aggressive with the wrestling.
Makes a good watch dog because her bark is very deep and loud which makes her sound bigger than she is.
Seems to hear and see things my girlfriend and I don't see, alarming us with her bark and scaring the shit out of us.
She is Territorial of our yard and barks at anybody that walks by or is near our house.
She loves to sleep on our bed in the winter.
She whines when someone is in her spot on the couch.
Very calm when giving a bath, she is the opposite after you dry her off.
She is very loving and gives hugs when you ask her to.
She is jealous of the cat.
When we pet the cat, Maggie has to intervene to get attention.
She has a long tongue that sticks out the side when she is been running or when she is hot.
Maggie seems to follow commands better when you have a treat ready...
The vet wasn't able to tell us exactly what she is a mix of when we first brought her in at 10 weeks old. My mom found her near her work in the dumpster area of a fast food chain. I was asked to come see if I wanted her and it was love at first sight. Maggie is now 2 years old and we still don't know what breed she is exactly. She is not going anywhere, I just posted this to maybe have people chime in what they think Maggie is a mix of.
