Quad Core? NICE!!!
Yeah. It's time to ditch 32bit man. Good luck on your new setup.
Intel or Amd?
and what kind of ram? DRR2, DDR3?
-
oh nice.
yeah i was thinking about trying 64 bit fedora 11.
since i only have 1GB of ram i use 32 bit.
in a month i am getting a quad and 4GB of ram so i'll switch to 64 bit =]

Oh...
Well, I use Fedora 11 32bit on my laptop and 64bit on my desktop. I do notice a small boost on my desktop, but I honestly can't compare accurately since it's very different hardware.
The main reason I use 64 bit for my desktop is because I have 8Gb ram so I need it.
I mean the theory is 64 bit should compute faster but I'm not sure.
Does your processor support 64bit architecture?
If so, just go ahead and use it. We should all be switching and make it the standard to get rid of 32bit. :)

no, i was tell you tell a differnce with 32 bit and 64 bit linux.
like is it faster?
Oh wow (.)rpm is probably much simpler than installing with a tar(.)gz, it took me a while before I learned how to install it.
