James Kalm responds to a viewer request to report on "NeoIntegrity" a massive group show representing works by over 180 artists, curated by Keith Mayerson. As summer group exhibitions go, this production is near encyclopedic in its scope. It presents works from several generations of artists, contrasting painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and video. With its Pop art flavor and proclivity towards blatant sexuality these works reflect a facet of current social mores that are sure to provoke controversy. Including works by Derrick Adams, Jane Freilicher, David Humphrey, David Sandlin, James Siena, Haim Steinbach, Billy Sullivan, John Torreano, et al. Cameo appearance by David Cohen
Reminds me of a high school art show....I like the variety, but a lot of the work here is tacky.
