See, even though people are ripping against Kellí Sulikowski, she may not have the most powerful voice, unlike GEMMA WARDLE!!!!!!!!!!!! but she IS technically really good....people can't help the tone they have, and Kellí most likely pulls the note back, so that it sounds technically right, and that she is able to control it without it breaking, because if you listen to that one note, it is consistant all the way through but with vibrato at the end...so like, she is v good thought most disagree!

Funny Candese posted cause she has always been a fave. Never got to see her but had a boot that I wore out and she was not just vocally strong, she was a fantastic actress, delivering her own unique version. Impressive during a time most copied the original cast.

Hmmm, so a "good Eponine" is one who can hit that last note impressively? What about acting, characterization, interpretation. delivery of lyrics, vocal nuance? Too many people focus only on the belt. There have been few who've done the role justice. Most are carbon copies of each other and portray her as a whiner.

They were made in different theatres with different acousitcs by different sound engineers. There were also different conductors with different ideas about how long to hold the note..
It is fun, though, to hear us all side by side. I think everyone pretty much nails the note.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but I asked to PLEASE not mention actresses who do not appear in the clip. Lea is obviously very talented and one of the best performers but every clip of Eponine does not need to be turned into a debate on Salonga vs. Ruffelle.

that kerri person was terrible but i liked kerry and gemma. But I'm sure Gemma's recording of it is in a different key.
I was under the impression that it was written in F major and i have usually have trouble getting down the bottom G but on Gemma's recording I got down fine so I assumed it was up a semi-tone, but the others seem to be in the same key on here..

Yes, it is in a different key. And I suppose you meant Kelli for the terrible one and I agree, I have a video of her and her singing and acting are pretty bad.
