Really nice cover of a difficult song, It;s always been a favorite of mine my hat is of to you sir !!

@Mikedrumzz That is how I approach covers. I am not a chart reader either. You hit the nail on the head about listening over and over to sections. There are times I think it is good to let loose and jam to songs with your own style. The challenge of being more accurate on tough covers by listening and practicing will improve a drummer. I checked out your Yes Tribute Band page. I relate to wanting a promoter. That's the crummy part that takes way to much time if you play on the side like I do.

Sorry to reply to a year old comment, but theres a link on Keith Emersons website to Sheetmusic! Hope this helps!!!
Awesome cover of a very difficult song. Personally my fav EL&P song. I am in the initial stages or working on this cover and am doing alot of listening, figuring out and practicing as well as watching YT covers such as yours. I have the general layout and will now work more on sections. Songs like these are great because they are very challenging. What was your approach to learning this and how long did it take you? Just curious....Nick

@readyeddy101 Hey Nick, I first really familiarize myself with any song I work out. I just keep listening to the song over and over again until I know the layout without really thinking aboout it. Next, I sit behind the set and work sections from beginning to end. I would say I spent a good 2 hours at this before I felt somewhat good about it. I'm not a chart reader, never have been, so I figure all of the parts out by ear. You have to do what works best for you. Have fun and enjoy. Mike

He could have at least made it look hard out of respect for Carl. Geez....
That is experienced drumming my friends.

Hey Mike, nice job! GREAT tune. 5 stars! I'm from Long Island. Didn't 'Apostle' play in the NY, NJ, CT, tri-state area? If so, I think I saw you guys once or twice in the 70's or '80's.

Hi 17drums, Yes. Apostle did play those areas in the late 70's. Ah, the good old days! Thanks for the comment....Mike
