On 2/28 members of the Burlington branch of Iraq Veterans Against the War testified about their personnel experiences and stories while serving in the Iraq War. This is a smaller version of the national Winter Soldier: Iraq & Afghanistan that took place March 13 - 16 in Washington DC. Here is the second part of Jon Turner's testimony.

If it was enemy combatants, I wouldn't give a Fuck, fuck them. If I'm getting shot at, I'll return fire and try to kill the enemy, but if its innocent ppl, that is just fucken sick. He should be court marshall.

But Petersodhi I'm slightly offended that you would say such things about marines yet you have no comment on the atrocities and crimes against humanity that your "supposed" nation of Israel commits every day against the people of Gaza. With ur west bank barrier and all ur security walls the palestinians live about as comfortably as the jews under Hitler.

..continued.. tanks but 2/3 of their supplies and logistics were carried to the front on US made trucks. So while they did bear the brunt of the german war machine, and took incredible casualties, IMHO it was really the the unrivaled scale of growth in industry and production in the united states that really saved the day in WWII. But now, it is that growth of the military industrial complex that has brought us this new age of American empire and global wars on terrorism.. continued...

..The Lend-Lease programs which were basically agreements to provide food, money, and weapons to some allied nations which would be given/paid back through some form of reciprocal aid. The US and England gave millions and millions in gold, food, thousands of tanks, weapons, aircraft, and munitions to the USSR which was badly needed throughout the war, during which the most of the population in russia was starving. they might have made their own tanks but... continued..

@PeterSodhi Ah; you have a valid point, but i would have to say that the soviets contributed about equally to the US in victory of the allies. with the USSR's raw man power and eventual mass production of (mainly stolen designs/concepts from all other factions; the soviet's credence lol, which they became quite adept at) the T-34, T-44, IS-2, IS--3 tanks, they were eventually able to adapt and push back against the nazi armored blitzkrieg. But you should read about the Lend-Lease programs.

@xan0therxnumberx Appreciate the dialogue - you need to research the Second World War more - the Russians beat Germany if you look at the actual numbers of troops and material (Eastern Front vs Western Front).
