I just got a load of parts in, and I built this as my first run to see how great a 4 inch speaker would sound at .75 watts. I also have something that I didn't have before: a 100 ohm potentiometer!!! So now my volume knobs will work in a nice, linear fashion. Yay, upgrades!!!

As usual, you can find me at http://tech-tut.com, and you can find these amps in limited supply at http://etsy.com. Just look for Cigar Box Amps. :) Thanks for viewing.

  • what kind of speaker is that?

  • @SpeakerFreak95 Jameco part number 1954818. It's a 4", 6 watt speaker.

  • Nice amp.. Erm just wanna ask, wad resistor did you use for gain control (10k?) ? (I'm new at amps) TQ

  • @29125me I used a 5k ohm pot between pins 1 and 8. The volume pot is a 100 ohm pot.

  • Can you make a video how you made this amp?

  • Wow excellent!

  • @29125me You can use any pot that you'd like. If it doesn't work, removing and replacing it is simple.
